From an architectural point of view, this peculiar suspension bridge is very interesting in that it is suspended by welded Cor-Ten steel cables, is 4,886 m in length and has a total width of 20 m. As the lighting system is based on LED technology, it requires no maintenance, has low consumption and blends in perfectly with the structure of the bridge.

Most animal life, fauna and insects are adapted to live in the nocturnal darkens where they can hide from their predators, feed, hunt and reproduce. These species are more sensitive to blue light, whilst red light is invisible to them and does not disturb their life cycles. The solution used until now was to use high- or low-pressure sodium vapour lamps as street lighting in areas of outstanding natural beauty. The emission spectrum of the PC-Amber LED used for Ignialight luminaires has been analysed by the Catalan Energy Research Institute (IREC). The data obtained have confirmed its practically nonexistent light emission is under 500 Nm and risk-free from all points of view.
