SACOPA responded rapidly to the appeal launched on social media for PPE by the Hospital.

A group of businesses, institutes and private individuals that had 3D printers have been printing the PPE that the healthcare workers at Olot Hospital and care homes need.

The distribution channel set up, all through WhatsApp, works like this:

1.    The partners print the 3D framework.

2.    The component parts are collected and taken to Innova where they are disinfected and assembled.

3.    All of the assembled material is delivered to the Salut Garrotxa health trust.

From there, its distribution to the Hospital and various care homes is arranged.

Between them, the partners are currently aiming to print 300 shields.
