Most fauna and insects are adapted to living in a nocturnal world. In the dark they hide from their predators, feed, hunt and reproduce. Many species are sensitive to blue light radiation, whereas amber coloured light is practically invisible to them, therefore the lights with PC-amber technology do not interfere with their life cycles.
The team of engineers at Ignialgiht with the support of sky agencies that work in this field have pioneered the use of PC-amber technology for street lighting.

All Ignialight Urban and Street luminaries are designed to have an Upper Hemisphere Flux lower than 1% (UHF<1) thus guaranteeing the quality of life of the inhabitats of the area and the well-being that a dark sky means.
